Old Oberförstere, Kelsterbach nr. Frankfurt airpor

The Old O is a mixed bag. It's the only restaurant listed in Michelin for Kelsterbach, so it was easy enough for us to try it. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and found the place quite attractive. From that point, things took a turn for the worse. Our orders were taken quickly enough, but thereafter the waitresses did their best to vanish for an extended period. We have rarely waited so long in between courses without having some opportunity to speak with the service personnel. These ladies were virtually invisible. Pity, since the food was quite tasty. Maybe it was an off night, though one wonders why the waitresses stayed away. Try at your own risk. We probably won't, hoping that there's at least one other place in Kelsterbach that may be worthwhile. On Monday thru Thursday nights, that's not a problem since the nearby Hotel Tanne serves evening meals on those days.
