As you might guess from the name, this starkly decorated, modern hotel is a stone's throw from the railway station.
The smaller than average guestrooms are sparely furnished with ultra modern light fixtures, a wicker chair or two, wall-mounted TVs, and the usual amenities. Sinks are in the room, though separated from the sleeping area by a divider. Most rooms have a tub rather than a shower.
Be careful about choosing your room. The street side is noisier, but cooler in summer and cheaper.
Its location recommends the City Hotel, but at CHF 200 for a very basic double room, it's not a great value. Weekend rates are better.
